An Operations lead publishes a policy change announcement linked to the source decision record. The read counter shows who has opened it; the few who haven't get nudged individually.
Broadcasts with read receipts so nothing important goes unread
Announce delivers org-wide updates with a counter, not a shrug. See who’s opened the broadcast, nudge who hasn’t, and link every announcement to the decision that prompted it.
- Per-member read receipts on every broadcast. Never vague engagement numbers.
- Audience scope: everyone in the space, a specific group, a role, or a custom set.
- Optional CTA and linked decision record so readers land on the source in one click.

Three things Announce gets right.
Read receipts you can act on
See exactly who has and hasn't opened a broadcast. Nudge non-readers individually or in a batch. No more guessing whether the all-staff email landed.

Audience scope, not all-or-nothing
Send to everyone in the space, a specific group (Leadership, Comms), a role (Executive Directors only), or a hand-picked custom set. Scope is shown as a badge on the broadcast.
We’re piloting a 4-day work week starting April 1
Leadership has decided to run a 12-week 4-day work week pilot in Q2. Fridays off for the full team, except a rotating on-call.
Linked decisions and CTAs
Every broadcast can embed the decision it announces and add one primary CTA: Submit travel form, Read the decision record, RSVP. The path from announcement to action is one click.
Annual report template (open)

What’s built in.
How teams use it.
Board-only broadcasts go to the Board role. Members outside the board don't see the broadcast in their feed; read receipts give the secretary a clean record for the minutes.
Questions about Announce
How do read receipts work?
OneSpot records when each member opens the broadcast. The author sees a counter (e.g. 18 of 24 read), a visible list of who hasn't read it, and a Nudge button. Read state is never silently inferred from notifications.
Can I schedule a broadcast?
Yes. Pick a date and time when composing. Scheduled broadcasts show a Scheduled badge until they publish.
What's the difference between Announce and Discuss?
Discuss is dialogue with a small group. Announce is one-to-many distribution with read tracking. Same platform, different intent. Announcements are not threads.
Can a broadcast go to only specific members?
Yes. Choose Custom audience and pick individuals. Useful for sensitive HR updates or beta-feature rollouts.
